County Court Small Claims Proceedings

 County Court Small Claims Proceedings

Being owed money by tenants is frustrating and can become very time consuming. You know you are in the right, you have tried to be reasonable and yet being reasonable has got you nowhere. Going to court should always be treated as a last resort, however if all else has failed it might be your only option.

Recently the courts have introduced a ‘Pre Action Protocol’ which has to be followed before you can issue a County Court Small Claim. The aim of this half day course is to guide you through this protocol from writing the initial letter, to advice on completing court forms to the various methods of enforcement once you have judgement.

Property Inventory Course

Property Inventory Course

Since the advent of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, the inventory’s importance has increased greatly. Not only do you have to list the items in the property before the tenancy begins, but you must also indicate clearly the condition of all the items in case a 3rd party has to decide the fate of the deposit’s return.

This half day course also includes discussion on inspections and how to quantify loss.
