There might be times you need to send a simple letter to your tenant, for example advising them of when a periodic inspection is due. The RLA have put together a collection of simple letters to help you communicate with your tenant.

Accountant Verification Letter
If your prospective tenant is self employed, the Accountant Verification Letter is designed to send to their accountant for a financial reference.

Periodic Inspection Letter
For a landlord, the periodic inspection of a rental property is one of the many essential ownership responsibilities. The Periodic Inspection Letter advises the tenant, the landlord wishes to carry out a periodic inspection.

Poor Standard of Property Letter
The tenant is not taking care of the property and it is in a poor standard. The Poor Standard of Property Letter advises the tenant to maintain the property to a clean and satisfactory standard. Also the consequences should the situation continue.

Serving of Section 21 (1)(b) Notice Letter
Landlords can issue a Section 21 (1)(b) notice at the start of a tenancy, once the Tenancy Agreement has been signed and the Deposit Protection certificate has been received. Serving of Section 21 (1)(b) Notice Letter informs the tenant of why the notice is being issued.
