Addemdum to transferring management from agent to landlord mid way through AST (Public Helpdesk Query)

Mr Scott Hutchinson

4 January 2010

Hello,

I have a question about what paperwork needs to be issued to tenants as I am taking the management of a number of properties back from an estate agent. The EA's AST makes extensive references to the deposit being with TDS; these will be transferred to DPS.

Some properties are mid way through there fixed period of an AST. Others are periodic.

I plan to issue a letter which explains what is happening (with new contact/bank details etc) along with the prescribed information from DPS plus DPS's Terms and Conditions.

Is this sufficient? Do I need some other addendum to the AST?

Thanks,
Scott.
