A 'Private sector renewal strategy' at Staffordshire Moorlands District Council will include a crackdown on rented property standards.

Its decision follows the result of a survey of residential property in the area which found that 86 per cent had central heating but a quarter lacked double glazing or draft proofing. Of those properties let out, 60 per cent lacked draft proofing or double glazing. 'I'm negotiating to acquire it after the celebrations, for sheltered accommodation.'
