Electronic gas certificates - December 2001 / January 2002

Safety systems specialist Gas-Elec is offering instant access to gas and electrical appliance certificates over the Internet.

The advantage is that certificates can be made available within a day of physical inspection and can be printed off any number of times while valid. The service operates through a secure password protected site only available to Gas-Elec customers.

'The inspection, testing and servicing market is highly competitive and if we want to remain the supplier of choice we have to provide added value', explained managing director, John Davidson.

Launch of the service (Gas-Elec can be contacted on 0800 587 999 or through its website at www.gas-elec.co.uk) follows a successful pilot with two clients.
