London landlord given life sentence - April / May 2003

A London landlord who rented rooms to students has been jailed for life for murdering two of his tenants.

During the course of his trial Kim Kyu Soo admitted manslaughter of Song In Hea a change of plea that was rejected by the prosecution. It proved he had murdered both Song and Jin Hyo Jung.

Both women were South Korean students who were visiting Britain, both were found 'almost naked' with their wrists bound with parcel tape, and both had had money withdrawn from their accounts using their cards.

Jin's body was found in a suitcase dumped in north Yorkshire, and Song's sealed in a cupboard at an east London address.
