Squatters profit from Lambeth losses - December 1999 / January 2000

Lambeth Council is in danger of having to hand over more of its 'lost' properties to squatters.

Michael Stewart, who was once evicted from a home owned by former Cabinet Minister Michael Heseltine is claiming adverse erties to bring similar claims.

Earlier this year Timothy Ellis convinced the Court of Appeal he was entitled to ownership of a Brixton house with an estimated value in the region of £200,000 in which he had squatted for 16 years.
