The RLA works in partnership with a number of local authorities, promoting best practice and working to improve the standard of rented accommodation.
Becoming an LA Network member is free of charge and will not only help your local authority to work closer with your landlords, but will give you access to a number of services and facilities designed to augment your work.
LA Network membership is completely bespoke to the needs of each local authority and the first stage of membership involves meeting up with RLA representatives to discuss your local authority and your local landlords’ needs.

This service is designed to take away the cost and time consuming administration that comes with hosting an accreditation scheme, freeing up valuable time and resource for your staff to concentrate on more effective and fair enforcement.
Becoming an RLA LA Network partner gives you your own dedicated space on the highly regarded RLA website. This page provides valuable exposure for your local authority and includes information like contact details, website and email addresses and a forthcoming event feed which helps to promote your work to the RLA website audience.
At the RLA, we have a wealth of professional experience in our team of representatives and consultants, covering a variety of fields including accreditation, learning & development, health & safety, fire safety, energy efficiency, finance and much more.
As an LA Network partner you would have access to this resource to compliment your existing landlord meetings, conferences or fora.
Using the experience of the RLA, LA Network partners have access to a number of RLA consultants, experienced in supporting local authorities in the development of housing strategy and policy. We have worked closely with local authorities in the areas of accreditation scheme development, HMO licensing and HMO license training, selective licensing, etc.
