Dear rla, my tenant spent 4 years on annual asts and then about 2 years on rolling notice. A deposit was taken at the first tenancy start date and was duly protected and prescribed info given. We have agreed with the tenant to issue a new, written, tenancy agreement for 12 months. rent will increase but deposit will not). Please could you tell me if i need to release and re-protect the deposit or can i simply issue a fresh tenancy (rla agreement ? Many thanks in advance
