I rented my flat without any tennancy agreement and taken £500 deposit in 2010 and being ignorant to the law I never knew I had to Protected the forward..the tenant refused to pay in Nov 2016 and I could not evict them since deposit is not protected.
So I had to settle letting them off six month rent in a hope they sign a new tenancy for 12 month which they did in May then the rent was £700 so I took extra £200 for the deposit and all in all I protected £700 deposit in may 2016.

Now they got four month left in their contract and I can not wait till I EVICT my question is It safe to evict them now that the deposit is protected or should the past will come to haunt me?
