We have a tenant who has some rent arrears and there was a case of antisocial behaviour. We have served Section 21 Notice purely to get a control of the situation. The tenant in question wasn't engaging and knowing that he will be evicted he abandoned the property some time ago. We have applied to court for a possession order.

Can we legally declare on the day of receiving possession order and after going into the property when there are still some furniture left but no food in the fridge and the electric meter is in debt for a while now, that he has given us possession of the property?
