EPCs will become significantly more important after April. However, there is no Ombudsman or system for complaining about poor service or incorrect assessment. Only the Accessors have access to the site and they can post an EPC against the wrong property. Given that the training is done by distance learning, there is no quality control regarding the Assessor, and these people move on pretty quickly and the companies that employ them go into liquidation as Gov. funding for insulation initiatives, is withdrawn.
I have a wrong posting which rates one of my properties as an F. and also the same property as a D and there is nobody who can help put it right.
