I have recently completed a regular inspection on one of my properties and found that the tenant has modified the fixed wiring so they can have a light switch hanging directly above the dining table! What make it worse is it is a poor install and has been left in a potentially dangerous condition.
I have spoken and written to the tenant asking (telling) her to get a NICEIC registered electrician to come and put the wiring right again.
What other options do I have and is this grounds for eviction if she refuses to put it right?
