Hello colleagues
Robust & well-researched as per is the latest Rugg Report.
An overview not to be missed by ourselves, or by the RLA & any other lobbyists. Advocates an Annual MOT on each property similar to an MOT on a car to check on 'fit for purpose'. Not sure the infrastructure for that will be funded by central gov...certainly not by the cash-cow loving LA's. The report doesn't support the [unsupported by evidence] cabbala of Selective Licensing, nor [ my take] the almost annual bolt-on of confusing guidance, hearsay & urban-myths that seem to permeate our industry. Report suggests root & branch pruning!
Like that's going to happen anytime soon. Little acorns though!

Makes for interesting reading. Not sure of the mechanism by which it will find favour, can't remember any impact the previous Rugg Report had on 'the powers that be'.
Impressive research though, perhaps useful to a range of organisations.
Lets see!
