My tenant asked me if he could pay weekly about three months ago after saying he was having trouble paying monthly and I agreed but now he seems to pay when he feels like it - he'll pay for one or two weeks and then I won't see him for three weeks which means he is always behind with the rent. I get it eventually but I obviously have to cover the mortgage in the meantime.

I have to constantly ring or text him to find out when he is going to pay. Can I threaten to repossess and/or take some money from the final deposit to cover my expenses on this?
