We have a tenant who is no longer living in our property and has given notice which ends 24th Dec. We have text her to say that we will be advertising the property for a new tenant and would give her 24hrs notice for any appointments via a letter through property address(she is in a hostel so do not have contact address) and by text to only number we know. We also need to do an EPC report and check the boiler. The lock have been changed by the tenant without our permission and we do not have a copy. where do we stand on gaining access to the property if she does not respond to us. she still has furniture there and personal items which we think she will say we have damamged or stolen if she knows we have been there without her knowing. Also we will have to change the locks to gain access if allowed. I await your response.
