Good afternoon

I was previously managing a property for a Landlord.
There was an Overpayment and Housing Benefit want to Reclaim this money from me.
I advised them that I no longer manage this property and gave them the Owners details.

They advised me that "Regulation 101 of the Housing Benefit regulations 2006 allows recovery of an overpayment to be recovered from whom housing benefit has been paid. As you were the recipient of the payments I am unable to revise my decision to hold you responsible to repay the above overpayment"

As I am unlikely to be able to reclaim any monies from the landlord - and as I no longer manage anything for him, so I am unable to reclaim from any other monies - I obviously am keen that they should reclaim from the landlord direct and not from me.

Although I did receive these monies on his behalf, as I no longer work for him it seems wrong that they should be allowed to reclaim direct from me.

Hoping you can help :-)
