Tenant's right to rent
I am not an experienced landlord and have looked at the government website on this subject. With a prospective tenant, who is actually from Serbia originally, for their eligibility to rent, if they have a British Passport is that all one needs to see? He, his wife and eight year old daughter have been here for many years. They have been living next door to the house we are offering (my wife's father's house) but as lodgers in an annex and it is not certain if they have ever had a right to rent check.

Also do you know if it acceptable to move in a few days before a Tenancy Agreement starts if he has signed the agreement, paid the deposit and first month's rent in advance?
