I have a couple of young tenants that can afford to pay the first months rent but will struggle to pay the same amount as sec deposit on move in day. They are going to provide a guarantor and pay the security deposit in 6 pymts on top of rent then back to just the rent, question is do i count this as a deposit or is it better to state it as rent for 6 months then do a rent reduction, not sure how government dps would view it otherwise, any help much appreciated.
