Dear RLA,

My name is Ilva and I am member of RLA.

I have a question regards the Deed of Guarantee.

I have a tenant who was struggling to pay rent and we have came up with payment plan. We have also arranged that her relative signs Deed of Guarantee for this payment plan, which we have found here. In case if tenant doesn't keep up with payment plan, will Deed of Guarantee and address of Guarantor will be enough in Court in order to recover debt or do I also need to ask Guarantor and tenant for other things, such as National Insurance number, copy of IDs, etc

Basically we hope that she will pay everything, but in case she won't - we need to be in a strong position to defend our interest and recover debt if needed. So, we need to be prepared for the whole debt recover process to be as smooth as possible.
