Can you help one of my landlords is using deposit guard. Wycombe Councils pays the deposit for some of our clients in order to help them move into a private rented property. But we also expect the deposit to be returned at the end of the tenancy. Our landlords use various companies to protect the deposit but will register the Council as an interested party which seems to work well but this particular landlord has been told by Deposit Guard that they can not do this can you advise please or should l contact deposit guard direct. The legislation allows for third parties to pay deposits so lam not sure what the problem is. Any help would be gratefully received. Angela.
