I paid a 'sub let' fee to the management company of one of my properties a year ago as per the terms of the lease. I have subsequently had another request from them 1 year on requesting another payment as I have extended the agreement with the same tenant. This not only seems punitive, but I see no mention within the lease for payment when extending an 'under-lease' to the same tenant.
Is it usual to pay for a sub letting or underleasing fee when extending an agreement to the same tenant?
