Can anyone help me. We are a family run limited company with a medium amount of properties. We have a part time employee, who we have given a job to help someone was is unemployable due to life long sickness (he works for us when well and has time off when unwell but makes the hours up), also he is related. He was renting off another Landlord. We worked out it was in everybody's interest for him to rent off of us,as we can take the money from his wages, or let him pay late if he does not earn enough.
His mother is a landlord but cannot rent to him as it is her son.
So he has moved into one of our properties he is paying the same as the lowest charged Tenant.
Because he is part time he gets housing benefit, otherwise he would not be able to afford anywhere. Housing benefit are hinting that he will not get his benefit reinstated as two of the directors are related to him.
