The tenant in my house came out of work and Liverpool council will only pay 325 of the 525pcm rent. As such i have been getting random amounts since january not covering much of the actual rent. He should pay 2 months in advance so the council refused to pay for 2 months at the start. I served a section 8 in March and then proceeded with the eviction process in March and my court date is not until July. I contacted the council to get the payments made to me. They sent me 1 cheque 4 weeks in arrears and asked me to apply to become a registered landlord. This is my only property. I have given them my parents address (I'm staying with a friend in London) and sent them a copy of my mortgage statement & ASTA to prove i own the property. They have said this is insfficient and have not made rent payments to me or the tenant for 2 months. The landlord application form requests bank, national insurance etc details, utility bills and ask me to sign to say they can use this information as they wish. They also asked me to pay to download proof of ownership from the land registry. I'm not comfortable with providing someone with the complete information to clone my identity when i dont want to be a registered landlord. I'm renting out my home while i work in London for a year.
How do i get the rent from the council?
The court case is in july and the tenancy ends july 31st will i get him out by then?
how do i get back all the unpaid rent and court costs?
