Rent arrears during notice period - advise on best course of action
I'm in the same boat as Mrs. F
I have read the protocol on small claims court, is this the best way forward.
My tenant has been served a section 21 before the 1st May 2011 and I have requested possession on the 31st July 2011, which is the last day of her tenancy.
I have contacted the Local Authority in trying to receive July's rent (benefits) direct and completed their forms. I am owed 2 and a bit months rent and my tenant is on a 6 month AST.
Can I have some help/advice please?
