My former tenant left owing me nearly 4000 in rent arrears. I have traced him to his new address and also discovered that he has an employer (having previously believed he was self employed). He earns a very good salary.

My plan is to apply for attachment of earnings and when I have that in place to start informing his current and previous landlords/gas/ electricity/council tax/BT (he obviously didn't pay any of his bills)/benefits agency (he was claiming some minor benefit)/CSA (he has 3 children I believe he does not contribute towards) of his whereabouts.

Is this a good plan? He's not a violent type, just a conman who has done this to a previous landlord who then could not find him.
