Tenants moved into property 6 months ago. Were given key( bad mistake) and all Rla tenancy paperwork, for references etc. Failed to sign any documents at all. Paid nearly one months rent in cash on arrival but no further payments made for rent or the deposit.
Father said he would be working to support his family but instead I discovered he applied for benefits including rent and council tax payments, for himself wife, and adult children and one daughter who has a baby.
Council tax being paid , but not Housing Benefit as he can not produce a tenancy agreement - because he refused to sign one.
rent of 1,000 month now 4 months in arrears and no deposit paid. Unable to talk as very loud , threatening and aggressive.
He has been working for a builder part time. Now find that mail has been delivered incorrectly to his address and money gone missing from another tenants account. Total mess.
Are making them selves deliberately homeless so believe they are not entitled for council to house them. Any advice please
