RLA notes for completion of N119 for a Section 8 claim, state that paras 4(b) and 4(c) should be left blank. I have just experienced the reverse at Birmingham County Court - the Duty Solicitor defending successfully got the claim struck out because para 4(c) was blank. He stated that any statutory claim eg S8, S10 etc should be entered here.

It seems that either your notes are wrong, or the judge was wrong!!

Incidentally, this Duty Solicitor claimed to be an expert in Housing Law with 20 years experience in the field. Naturally I was annoyed to have the case struck out on a technicality, especially as I had followed RLA notes to the letter
