Section (4) (a)
We use the Lower Street Properties ‘saving provisions’ instead of giving a date of expiry in our Section 21 (4) (a):
(4) Date of Expriy On: at the end of the period of your tenancy which will end after the expiry of two months from the service upon you of this notice.
Could you please confirm if the date of the ‘end of the period’ is the day of the month before the rent is due or the day of the month before the start date of the tenancy. For example, a tenant moves in on the 15th of the month. After a few months the tenant pays an extra two weeks rent so that the rent due date become the 2nd of the month. No alteration to the tenancy agreement is made. ‘Would the end of the period’ be the 14th or the 1st of the month?
