I let houses to "employed" students who are seconded on courses related to their work. These students come from all over the world and can be here anything from 6 weeks to 9 months. On the day they leave the house they quite often return to their home country which makes it difficult for them to get their deposit back from the DPS.

Also as there can be 3 of them from the same course sharing a house, one of them is the nominated lead and again, it is difficult for them to distribute the deposit to their mates as they could be anywhere in the world including away at sea as part of their job.

I am reluctant to not take any deposit at all but it is proving to be a problem to the whole letting process of these, usually, reliable ,low risk tenants.

Any suggestions/guidance welcome.
