one of our tenants has reported that a window in there property was broken while they were busy entertaining friends, they advised one of there friend leaned on the window and it smashed!, they paid to get the window replaced without consulting ourselves and are now looking for us to refund the money back to them, we do not feel we should have to refund as firstly we do not beleive the window was broken as a result of being leaned on, and secondly as it was not reported to us we could not arrange for our own approved tradesman to go out and now bill is double the cost we would usually have to pay. Where to we stand do we have to pay for the cost of the repairs ?
