My tenants have asked to use their own phone No and while I dont have an issue with that I am just wondering if it is normal for a new tenant to have to pay for a BT connection fee. Up to now the tenants simply retained my number from when I was living at the property. If the number at my property is not used then the conenction gets lost and when these tenants leave a new tenant will have to pay presumably for any number. It's not a problem for me, but is that usually the way it is for most tenants - that they have to pay to be connected in each rental they have? I just want to check that I wont have a problem with the next tenants expecting a phone line to be in place?
Regards
Jeannette
This may seem a daft question, but letting is new to me - a speedy answer would really help as I said I would let them know today about it
