A tenant has rang to advise a window pane in his property has been broken by a friend while entertaining we advised it was his responsiblitly to pay for the damages.

He has now contacted us to advise the glazing company told him the glass fitted was not safety glass and the glass fitted is illegal, the landlord was unaware of this. The tenant has given us no evidence to back this up and nothing noted on ivoice by glazier. Do we have to pay for the replacement if this is the case?

many thanks
