Unlicenced HMO and RLA AST
1. If I have an unlicenced HMO - e.g. 3 students in a 3 story town house, with a shared kitchen, loung and bathroom, what are the implications regarding fire safety? I've read numerous things stating the need for emergency lighting, fire extinguishers etc, but this seems overkill for what is effectively an ordinary terraced house.
2. The RLA specifies a lead tenant. In the example of an unlicenced HMO, is this necessary?
