Gas meter responsibility?
The meter was changed (twice) by Onstream, at the request of British Gas, and was left non-compliant with current gas regulations. Meter not earthed. They did not bother to tell me and the situation came to light when I had gas/electrical safety inspections done for a new tenancy.
I would like to know who is repsonsible for this and, if it is me, is it reasonable to expect British Gas/Onstream to tell me when they leave something that should be dealt with?
How can we be expected to know what we don't know?
I have Homecare on this property but that doesn't cover looking at the meter, apparently.
