Using Tenancy Deposit for Unpaid Rent
I hope you can help me again please?
My AST has a clause which states if any rent is unpaid it can be taken from the Deposit given by the Tenant.
My question is this please:-
If the Tenant is moving out on the 1st January 2012, but owes me rent (if I do not re-let the property in the meantime)up and until the 22nd January, do I need to give the Bond back within the 10 days after the 1st January, or am I able to keep the bond until the end of the Tenancy ie 22nd January, and give it back or raise a query within the 10 days grace after this time period please?
