Cash Advance v Deposit
My Tenant provided a cash contribution to the first month's rent (2 yrs ago) and then paid the balance in the first month's Rent. Questions are:
1. If I am issuing an n5b now, which I am, what do I put in the Deposit section?
2. The AST says "-" (NIL) deposit signed by us both. Is this sufficient evidence that no deposit was taken infact?
(also, I can't locate the Receipt I gave him for the initial £100 he gave me, but I can show he paid an amount the first month's Rent of the Rent Amount minus the £100 - which was £600 in this case - Rent is £700)
