We have a Tenant who has been in our flat for 4 weeks and is on a standard six month short term tenancy agreement. Four of her cheques have bounced and the arears are now 1650. We are aware that she is having difficulties and have been patient whilst she sorts it out. Now she wants to give one months notice and leave, she says her solicitor has written to us with this information.
How do we stand on this? Can she leave with two - three months of the agreement still to go? What can I do if she continues to not pay up and how best can I try and get the money due if it's still not paid by the time she quits?
