1 Thanks
I have a possession hearing in late August on the grounds of rent arears. I have been told that cases can be adjourned on the day if the Claimant has not sent in certain papers such as an updated list of rent due up to the point of the hearing. Are there any other papers to be forwarded?

Secondly the Notice of Issue form sent to me by the court for the hearing states that 'some Tenancy agreements affect the payment of stamp duty...if so bring evidence to show stamp duty has been paid..."
Does this apply to an AST?

Lastly any tips for the hearing itself.
Every time I texted my Tenant to ask why they had not paid the amount they said they were going to (I gave them many chances and waited many weeks for them to get the money together) or called their legal representative to ask the same question the Tenant threatened me by saying they would bring a harrassment charge.
I now only contact them through the representative by letter and by the time of the hearing I will not have had direct contact with the Tenant for nearly two months.

Thanks again for your help. It's been a real uphill battle but I've learnt more in dealing with this one bad Tenant with the RLA's help than in the last ten years of being a Landlord.
