I think we all know that some tenants persistently move from one house to another having ripped of each Landlord the equivalent of typically 5 months rent.

If there is not one already could we all not supply details of our bad tenants to a central register. With details of names used, dates of birth and N I numbers, judgements and the like.

Certainly in a big city like Leeds this could be an invaluable tool for landlords to refer to.

I realise there may be legal implications that need to be considered, but providing evidence is factual only they should not be to big a problem.

Let me know if this has merits, or as I say if there is something already in force, and I dont just mean the standard credit checks.
