I purchased a house last year, the owners wife stayed on with the Children.
I wrote a letter confirming that we were happy to rent the property to her and the two children at a monthly renatl of 550 per month, with two months rent free.
The agreement was drawn up for "eight months" with the rental (for the six months @ 550.00 = 3.300.00 divided by 8 = 412.50 per month.

This agreement comes to an end 10th March, I have issued a new AST in December for a new 12 month term at the 600.00 per month.

I spoke with the tenant as the signed document had not been returned, she advised me that she would not be taking it up, but may want to rent on a month by month until she found somewhere new.

Can I enforse the new 600 per month rental .

Any guidance would be apreciated.

many thanks
