RE: data protection
I am about to rent out a property I have inherited and am utilising some of the very useful forms from your Documents section, including the Tenants Personal Details and the Pre-Tenency Agreement.
I have recently been asked by one of the prosepctive tenants how the extremely senstive information (bank account details, NI number etc, etc)will be kept secure. She has mentioned adherence to the Data Protection Act. None of the forms expressly mention how as a landlord what security protocols I might adhere to.
If you could shed light on this issue, perhaps advising some default wording I could insert into the forms to satisfy this prospective tenant, it would be greatky appreciated.
