Pest contol - tenant or landlord responsibility?
I have a tenant in a one of my properties who has seen a mouse (just one) and has asked for pest control to be brought it to 'resolve the problem' because she is 'terrified of mice'.
The tenant had previously reported mice some months ago and I subsequently put some mouse poison boxes in the property near where the mice were seen.
It is a Victorian conversion in London, in my experience virtually all such properties suffer from the odd mouse or two. And in any case they are pretty harmless - which is my most local authorities will not provide a free pest control service for mice.
Is it my responsibility as landlord to deal with this or is it the tenant's responsibility?
