My tenant has provided a guarantor who has chosen not to sign the RLA document, Deed of Gurantee (Unlimited), which has been sent to her, but instead has returned a letter stating that she is willing to act as guarantor for the rent, should the tenant default, during the period of the tenancy.
Is this legal, or does it have to be a pre-written document, such as the RLA one?
