My daughter has just signed a tennancy agreement on a studio flat in london. She has just graduated from uni and has just become employed. She worked out carefully how much she could afford in rent and searched accordingly. She took the studio on which was advertised by the estste agent at 175 per week.On visiting her and looking at her documents it now turns out that she is expected to pay her rent per calander month and she is paying 830per month,Working it out she is paying a lot more than it was advertised at.How does she stand?

Also she has not yet got her own electricity meter and her landlord told her that the seven people living in the converted house may just have to split the bill-what are her rights?

The landlady has fitted the studio out to a good spec. but she has used bamboo blinds at the windows which allow people passing to see right in at night when she has a light on and she is on the ground floor-is she within her rights to expect better window coverings?
