I have a one bedroom flat which I let to tennents. It is a leasehold property for which I pay ground rent My question is do the Management Company have the right to insist I have buildings insurance with them.

My reason for the querey is that I have recently had the occasion to make a claim for storm damage to the roof which, they have initially declined on the basis that they have no record of high winds in the area on the night of the damage, and that it is was my resonsability to prove otherwise. Which I have with the help of the met office.
I am now waiting a reply from them
