Re-Decoration
Could anyone help with this problem please, before I let a property I always re-decorate it, I emulsion all wall magnolia, and all woodwork white gloss.(neutral colours).
When a Tenant leaves a property they may have painted walls matt black, Day-glow red, or any other colour that suits their individual tastes. (herein lies the problem). I then return the wall and woodwork back to neutral colours, ready for the next tenant.
Is there any way that a landlord can stipulate that the internal decor must be returned to their original colours, at the end of a tenancy, or the cost of redecorating recovered from their bond,
or would that be against their rights, under a Short Hold Tenancy Agreement, or bond.
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks Trevor.
