Hi,

I have a few queries
1) I want to increase the rent for a tenant whose tenancy is coming to an end but the tenancy was not issued by me (I recently bought the building and issued a new landlord notice) - Do I need to notify them in writing before the end of the tenancy that the rent is going up?
2) Where I have tenants that are past the end of their existing tenancy and I want to put the rent up can I simply inform them verbally that I am issuing a new tenancy with a new rent?
3) I have a tenant that I want to leave whose tenancy expired a few months ago (I had issued a section 21 to take effect at end of tenancy) - can I simply tell them they are to leave or must I put something in writing before starting court proceedings if they will not move.

Many thanks
