Can you clarify the following for me

I am going to use a letting agent on a let only basis after years of doing the lettings myself

I have always inisisted that all my tenants have a guarantor who is a homeowner and working and on the advice of the RLA have always got the guarantor to sign a deed of guarantee

The agency do not use a deed of guarantee but get the guarantor to sign the contract along with the tenant, the agent insists that this covers me for any losses

is this correct?
