We have tenants in a flat who have let a condensation problem get out of hand. They say its nothing to do with them and there must be a problem with the property. The property has previously been ok and when the odd bit of mould appeared around the windows it was speedily and easily wiped away with an antifungal product. The current tenants have left this go for so long that the walls are looking dreadful and they are claiming that it is not their resposibility and want the probem cured and the flat re decorated. I am going round in circles trying to make them understand that some properties are more vulnerable than others and that they should have dealt with the issue immediately. Has anyone any suggestions on how best to deal with this?
